Leveraging the tool of emotion

Emotions; whether buried, bathed in, or broached; are never more, and never less, than tools.

To bury an emotion is to deprive ourself of the tool; yet to bathe in an emotion is to deprive ourself of other tools, ones apter for the occasion; whereas to broach an emotion courageously, kindly, humbly — at least within ourself — is the only way to avail ourself of the power of that tool.
