The perils, and pretense, of this perennial adolescence

“Whence!?,” winced the living, breathing evidence: “whence comes this perennial adolescence? Surely we have not effectively outlawed all character, even the constituent habits thereof, which has led traditionally to adulthood — surely we have not effectively outlawed adulthood itself!,” laughed the same lauded, languid lunatics — stating exactly what they had done, simply adding a “not” in front of their political footprint — and tossing out the twisted tersity with a tone of torpid incredulity, which, by that time in the decline, had come to constitute valid, vindicating argumentation.
